Why Aspena exists

Most software is built to be replaced. We build the kind that compounds.

A website from one vendor. Ads from another. Automation from a third — none of them talking to each other, all of them due for renewal. That's the default way small businesses get software. We think it's a bad one.

The problem with how software gets sold

Most agencies are paid to deliver a project, not to think about what happens after. So they optimize for the handoff: ship the site, run the campaign, move to the next client. What you're left with is a pile of disconnected tools, each one a separate login, a separate invoice, a separate vendor relationship — and no one accountable for whether they add up to anything.

Aspena exists because we think that's backwards. A business doesn't need more software. It needs fewer things, built to work together, that keep paying off long after the invoice is settled.

    If we can't explain what we're building in one sentence a business owner understands, we haven't finished designing it. Jargon is usually a sign the thinking isn't done.

    We choose durable, well-understood technology over whatever's trending. Software you can still run — and still understand — in five years is worth more than software that only impresses on day one.
